I've just discovered that my favourite defunct movie magazine is now online. Neon magazine lasted for about thirty issues from approximately 1997-99. I didn't keep my old copies but now I can feel less guilty about ditching them, mainly for lack of space. It was published in the U.K. as a sort-of alternative to Empire magazine. I always prefered it to Empire. Neon didn't consider its opinions to be set in stone, and it gave its attention to anything in the filmic firmament it considered interesting. Here is a brilliant overview of 'The Long Good Friday' (1980) starring Bob Hoskins and Helen Mirren. Enjoy.
